It's official
The UK's most wanted hairdressing website
At a glamorous ceremony in the historic London palace of Banqueting House, the team from Headmasters Salons saw off competition from salons all around the country to take the title UK's Most Wanted Hairdressing Website at the 2009 UK's Most Wanted hairdressing awards. Headmasters' award, which celebrates the smartest website launched by a UK salon, was presented to him by top TV comic Jimmy Carr.
Fresh, stylish and user-friendly, the new-look www.hmhair.co.uk helps thousands of users quickly locate their nearest Headmasters salon, delivers great hair care advice and showcases special offers that can be downloaded, printed and redeemed at the salon - officially the website's most popular page! The site now receives approximately 28,730 unique users per month, with obvious business benefits - this is a truly winning website!
Little wonder the Headmasters entry made such an impression on the judging panel, which included hairdressing luminaries Josh Wood of Real Hair, Mark Hayes of Sassoon and Andrew Barton and Lisa Shepherd of TV's 10 Years Younger, Vogue contributing editor Anna-Marie Solowij, branding expert Michelle Feeney, design guru Doris Lockhart and Pauline Franckel from the London School of Fashion. As one judge commented:
"This site has fabulously clear navigation – it's so easy to find what you are looking for!"
Organised by leading industry magazine Creative HEAD and sponsored by hairdressing giant Wella Professionals, the UK's Most Wanted awards celebrate the very best creative and business talents in Britain, and are widely acknowledged as one of the most inspiring and influential events in the hairdressing calendar.
2009 was no exception! The elite of the UK hairdressing industry enjoyed a night of old-school Hollywood glamour as they sipped cocktail and feasted on a smorgasbord of culinary delights from top party organizers Urban Caprice as hilarious celebrity compère Jimmy Carr took to the stage to award the nine worthy winners.
Emma Freeman Marketing Director, Headmasters says "Our online presence is increasingly important to us as a business. Our website is our number one communication tool with our clients from helping them find salon locations to making them aware of special offers. We were particularly pleased to win a most wanted award due to the illustrious, professional judging panel put together by Creative Head many of whose websites we are personally addicted too!"
Emma Berry, Creative HEAD's editorial director adds: "The use of new media in all aspects of the hairdressing industry has rocketed over the past year, and salons are now reaping the rewards of their investment into this field. We are delighted that this new category had so many strong entries: Headmasters should be immensely proud of their success."
