The Sussex Fashion Society held their first charity fashion show last week with hair styled by Headmasters Brighton. With all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Care for Breast Cancer awareness month, the show featured some of the most exciting boutiques and designers in Brighton.

The team headed up by Hugo Ratzel, took inspiration from Headmaster’s current Blow-dry Collection and added a vintage twist to create beautiful versatile hair which complimented the retro vibe of the clothes.

The Sussex Fashion Society said. “Within no time, Headmasters created beautiful vintage-looking hairstyles on each of the models, which left the audience stunned.”

We are turning the spotlight on Headmasters new Master Colour Experts who graduated, Thursday 24^th November, at the L’Oreal Academy in Hammersmith.

Graduates received their honours in front of colleagues, friends and family while sipping champagne and trading colour notes.

The L’Oreal Master Colour Expert is the highest professional colour qualification in the hairdressing industry.  To attain this accolade stylists have to attend an intensive training course and pass advanced practical and technical examinations.

The Headmasters Pro Session Team created the hair for Jasper Garvida SS/12 show held in the lavish Bloomsbury Hotel in London. Behind the scenes was a frenzy of activity with the team transforming 15 models. The style was all about looking effortless yet still chic, combining backcombing and volumizing products for the ultimate in texturised, mussed-up hair.

The look was all about sexy second day hair, not too perfect, with some intentional mistakes thrown in to create an un-done vibe. Jasper’s collection is all about contrast, mixing strong silhouettes with soft fabrics and the Headmasters Pro Session Team echoed this in the hair contrasting smooth and sleek with texturised volume.

Get the look

The look was created by prepping the hair with L’Oreal’s Tecni Art full volume mousse and L’Oreal’s Techi Art Pli. Next sections were tonged at random to create movement and add more texture. The front section was backcombed to give height before being pulled into a beehive on the crown.  Next the sides were swept back and secured into a ponytail at the nape of the neck which was teased out to create the ‘undone’ feel.  Finally L’Oreal’s Playball Extreme Honey was applied to the hairline to maintain the shape of the style and add a sleek contrast.

Headmasters have won the Best On-line Salon category at Creative Heads Most Wanted Awards for a third year running!  Held to celebrate the greatest and most inspirational talents in the hairdressing industry, Creative Head created a stunning event held at Lawrence Hall, London. Laura Hinton, PR Director (on the left of the picture) and Emma Freeman, Marketing Director (on the right) at Headmasters, joined the hilarious Keith Lemon on stage to receive the award.
